The Center for Biological Diversity on Tuesday challenged in court the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency's final rule setting renewable fuel volumes for
2020, 2021 and 2022.
The filing, in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit,
argues that "the EPA's legal failure to comply with the Endangered Species Act
is significant, not disputed by the EPA and is serious enough that the court
should summary vacate the EPA final rule," said Brett Hartl, government affairs
director for the center.
